Only few technicians and engineers learned rhetorical abilities during their formation, because the focus is mainly set on rational and technical factors.
However, there are times when the engineer has to sell his ideas to start a project. He will be even managing the project, which means that he has to place his ideas and explain the progress in several meetings. It is also possible, that the technician will have to do sales and has to convincingly present in front of customers.
