What makes a training successful? In my opinion, a training is successful when each participant achieves the agreed targets and when the participant is able to implement the content of the training in his daily life. Consequently, a training has to be individual with a direct relation to the workplace and different alternatives of behaviour have to be practiced realistically. My todays work as a trainer is based on studies of general rhetoric at the University of Tübingen, followed by practical experience in the commercial field of a big service provider and as a controller of a leasing association. Since 1989 I have been working as a trainer and coach for medium-sized and large businesses. For the famous Haufe-Akademie in Freiburg I have been working since 1999 in training managers in rhetoric and dialectics.
In 1997 I established VitaminT - Theatre and Training for Change together with a group of educationalists and actors. Through this combination with business theatre I amplified my work towards change processes and extended my methods and trainings. Various new products, such as PowerStories and Sales-Theater®, were developed. In 2002 VitaminT won first price at the International German Training Competition (BDVT). Additionally, I have a university teaching position at the University of Hildesheim, in the study course Organization Studies, subject creative techniques and production.
